Development Update

Progress relative to the development of our iOS Command Journal solution is progressing nicely. The issues involved with development can be challenging if you permit too many new issues to be added as you move along. We refer to that as “feature creep.” To help us avoid this, we maintain an internal WIKI for managing these types of issues without interfering too much with development.

At this point in time, the overall organization of workflow, data tables, and visual architecture are complete. We’re now working with the database structure to ensure the best use of available memory, swapping out of appropriate elements, and generally keeping the app fast and reliable.

There will be some pretty cool news from Apple in the near future, and it will have profound benefits for all emergency responders (who use a device like an iPad). We’re looking forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.
